Raging Waters

Today we went to Raging Waters with the Chus. It was fun; we did most of the rides. I think I got a sunburn on my back and cheeks, though. Last time I went to Raging Waters was with the Parmentiers, before we went to France. It was funny because, when we were in line for the Dragon's Den, we saw a burning lifejacket under the stairs we were on. It took us a while to realize that we had to get of, but then we ran down and left the ride. Someone had probably set it on fire as a joke.

Pool Stuff

Well, our pool is almost complete. We swam in it Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately, the heating isn't ready yet, so the pool is really cold, especially if you go in it at eight PM, as I did yesterday. Mike, Jiyon, and Nicole came over yesterday, and they brought water cannons, which are really annoying if you want to stay dry. On Saturday Floriane's parents, Jean-Marc and Crystel, came for dinner. I only see my friends's parents, not my friends!

This afternoon, the Chu's are probably coming to play. We'll most likely spen the time in the pool, after the construction workers leave. It'll be fun.

In Final Fantasy IX, I got to Disc 3. I finally got a ship to explore freely, but then I got kidnapped by the villan. Hopefully I'll get an airship of some kind soon.

I tried to teach my sister to play dotted eights-sixteenths today, but she refuses to learn. She really creates problems for herself. She claims not to be able to play only two pairs of them, only three! She acts rather strangely sometimes.

Stories

Well, our pool is almost done. It's being filled, finally. There hadn't been any work done on it for a month when we came back from France, so the construction was severely delayed. Soon we'll be able to swim in our own pool!

My friend Floriane and I are attempting to write a Harry Potter fanfiction about Harry Potter's kids and his friends kids, but it's coming along pretty badly. We only manage to write during the summer, when we're so bored we have nothing else to do. during the rest of the year all we do is talk about it and forget about it. Please read the story and review it.

It's rather bad, but writing is fun.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Harry Potter 6 came out while I was in France, and since everyone in my family wanted to read it, we bought it there. It was the English version (the French version comes out in October or November), but it wasn't any different from the American version. I started reading it the afternoon of the sixteenth, and finished reading it the next morning.

Comments on the book:
-It was too short
-There should have been more DA group action
-The romance was cool
-R.A.B. is Regulus Black
-I can't wait for the next book!

I don't envy my friend Floriane, who is staying in France the whole summer. Her dad bought HP6 here in America, so she can't buy it in France, and has to wait until August to read it.

What's really funny is that my family is so crazy about Harry Potte that we bought a second book in the Paris aeroport before coming home. It gave us something to do during the 6-hour wait between the arrival of our plane from Nice and the departure of our plane to San Francisco.

Home from France

I came back from France 2 days ago. It's good to be back. I finally got unstuck in Final Fantasy IX (9), by beating this annoying boss. then I proceeded to finish disk one and do almost half of disc 2. I think I played 4 hours this morning. The graphics are dated, but it's a good game. At lunch we wanted to go to Raging Waters, but when we drove to San Jose, it started to rain, so we went back and ate in a Japanese restaurant. In tried sushi for the first time, but then didn't eat my salad, and my dad made a speech about how we didn't eat anything and how we had been badly raised or something. Then I had my flute lesson at 4. I played out of this trio book my sister and I worked on while we were in France. Then we got home, and my mom made me make a blog, so here I am.
